Spirit of Nature in Nordic Architecture
Spirit of Nature November 3, 2021
Nordic architecture features a unique ability to harmonize the built environment with nature—whether it be an opera house reminiscent of glacial landscapes, a trekking path along the mountainous terrain of Romsdal or a whale watching monument resembling a giant rock outcrop in the Northern coast of Norway. Achieving ecological integration in society through built-environment thus involves navigating the links between architecture, culture and landscape – I call it responsible architecture.
